Care For Your Hair

 

Clean Your Hair: Taking care of your hair extensions is important if you are looking to reuse them in the future.  You should shampoo your extensions atleast once a week. Use a Sulfate and or Paraben free shampoo and conditioner. Using sulfate and paraben free shampoo and conditioner will help keep your extensions in great condition for longer use. Apply shampoo/conditioner to the hair in a downward motion to avoid tangling.(Use a wide tooth comb to help distribute the product.) Apply heat protectant and blowdry at a low pressure. (be sure to hold your extensions at the root when you brush and start from the ends of the hair and work your way up)

 

Nighttime:  Always braid, twist or pin curl your hair in sections to avoid tangling while sleeping. Also wrapping the hair helps to hold it in place overnight. Using a satin cap or sleeping on a satin pillow case will help out tremendously. The soft fabric helps to keep the hair from tangling.

 

Daily Care:  Avoid using oily or greasy products. Avoid using the leave in products too frequently as this will cause the hair to tangle from product build up. Do not sleep on damp hair! This will cause tangling!

 

WAVY HAIR:  After shampooing, apply a small amout of moisturizing conditioner or a mask to the hair. Cover with a shower cap for 10-30 minutes and then rinse conditioner out thoroughly. Towel blot hair. Apply a leave in conditioner or diluted curl activator and let it air dry for best wave formation.

 

CURLY HAIR:  After shampooing, apply a moisturizing conditioner or a mask to the hair. Cover with a shower cap for 10-30 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. Gently towel blot hair with a towel. Spray hair with a leave in conditioner or diluted curl activator solution. and scrunch up the hair gently to reform curl. Let the hair air dry for the best curl formation.
